“西部红烛”石磊:援藏的最大收获是看着孩子们变得更好

石磊,2012年陕西师范大学外国语学院毕业,现在是西藏自治区拉萨中学高中英语老师,今年1月,拉萨中学放寒假后,正在陕西探亲石磊还不时指导学生学习。

Shi Lei graduated from the School of Foreign Languages at Shaanxi Normal University(SNNU)in 2012 and currently serves as a senior high school English teacher at Lhasa Middle School in Tibet Autonomous Region.In January of this year, after Lhasa Middle School began its winter vacation, he returned to his hometown in Shaanxi to visit family. During this period, he continued to provide guidance and care for his students' academic progress and daily lives.

石磊在西藏教书快14年了,前后带过600多个学生,其中70%以上是藏族孩子。在这段和不同文化背景的孩子们相处的教学生涯里,2022届6班的藏族男孩丹增诺布,他一直记得特别清楚。 

Shi Lei has been teaching in Xizang for nearly 14 years and has taught over 600 students, more than 70% of whom are Tibetan children. Among his experiences teaching children from diverse cultural backgrounds, one student remains particularly clear in his memory: Danzeng Nuobu, a Tibetan boy from Class 6 of the 2022 graduating cohort.

这个16岁的小伙子有点特别,性子执拗,叛逆劲儿也足,不认同的人和事会直接说出来。所以石磊一开始就多留意着他,常找机会跟他聊聊天。慢慢地,丹增诺布越来越信任石磊,还主动要当英语课代表。

This 16-year-old boy was somewhat special—stubborn by nature, with a strong rebellious streak, and never hesitated to speak his mind about people or things he disagreed with. For this reason, Shi Lei paid extra attention to him from the start, often seizing opportunities to chat with him. Gradually, Danzeng Nuobu grew to trust Shi Lei more and even volunteered to become the English class representative.

不过,真正让丹增诺布变得成熟起来的是一件挺温暖的小事。当上

课代表后,面对几个英语进步慢的小组组长,丹增诺布渐渐没了耐心,说话语气也很刻薄。

However, what truly helped Danzeng Nuobu mature was a rather heartwarming incident. After becoming the class representative, he gradually lost patience with several group leaders who were making slow progress in English, and his tone became increasingly sharp when speaking to them.

石磊见状并没有直接说他, 而是课后抽空笑着问他:“丹增,我一直很喜欢藏语歌,你愿意教我唱一首吗?”丹增诺布先是愣了一下,显然有点意外,但很快就笑了,点头答应。 学歌的时候,石磊特意放慢了节奏,一句歌词的发音要反复问好几遍,有时候还故意唱跑调。学了两周后,石磊停下练习,问丹增诺布教他唱歌的感觉怎么样。

Instead of directly criticizing him, Shi Lei found time after class and asked with a smile, "Danzeng Nuobu, I have always loved Tibetan songs. Would you be willing to teach me one?" Danzeng Nuobu was taken aback at first, clearly surprised, but soon smiled and nodded in agreement.

While learning the song, Shi Lei intentionally slowed down the pace, repeatedly asking about the pronunciation of each line and sometimes deliberately singing off-key. After two weeks of practice, Shi Lei paused and asked Danzeng Nuobu how he felt about teaching him the song.

丹增诺布挠了挠头,有点不好意思地说:“一开始确实有点急,想让石老师快点学会。后来发现,放慢点速度,反而学得更顺。”

Danzeng Nuobu scratched his head and said a bit sheepishly, "I was indeed a little impatient at first, wanting Teacher Shi to learn quickly. But then I realized that slowing down actually made the learning smoother."

石磊顺着他的话往下说:“你看,教我唱歌是这样,当课代表带小组学习不也一样吗?那些小组组长都在努力跟上,你要是太急,他们反而更紧张,效果也不好。”

Seizing on his words, Shi Lei continued, "You see, teaching me to sing is just like guiding the study groups as a class representative. Those group leaders are trying their best to keep up. If you push too hard, they'll only get more nervous, and it won't help them improve."

他听完眼睛一亮,低下头笑了,说:“石老师,我懂了,是我太急了,对不起。”

Upon hearing this, his eyes lit up. He lowered his head, smiled, and said, "Mr. Shi, I understand now. I was too impatient—I'm sorry."

看着丹增诺布从一个执拗急躁的小伙子,变成一个懂得替别人 着想、愿意耐心沟通的人,我特别有感触,最大的收获就是看着孩子们不仅学到知识,还能慢慢长大、变得更好。

Watching Danzeng Nuobu transform from a stubborn and impulsive young man into someone who could consider others and communicate with patience deeply moved me. The greatest reward lies in witnessing children not only gain knowledge but also gradually grow and become better individuals.

自2010年起,陕西师范大学已连续十余年组织千余名优秀学生赴藏实习支教,其中超过80%的学生像石磊一样,在实习支教结束后留藏任教,逐渐成长为西藏基础教育的骨干力量。

Since 2010, Shaanxi Normal University has organized over a thousand outstanding students to participate in teaching internships and volunteer programs in Xiang for more than a decade. More than 80% of these students, like Shi Lei, have chosen to stay and teach in Xizang after completing their internships, gradually becoming key contributors to the development of basic education in the region.
